This week, we received our 100th booking 🥹 You won’t believe how thankful we are! 🌸
A few years ago, I did what any totally normal, completely rational person does: I sold everything, packed up my life, moved to a country where I spoke approximately four words of the language, and decided to follow my dream.
The plan? Take an old, tired finca in the hills of Andalusia and turn it into something beautiful. A place where guests could truly rest. Breathe. Feel at home in a way they didn’t expect.
What followed was honestly one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.
Months of construction dust, broken tiles, and moments where I genuinely asked myself: “what on earth am I doing?” There were days I sat in the middle of it all (quite literally in the rubble) and wondered if the dream may have been bigger than the reality. There were setbacks I didn’t see coming. Costs that kept climbing. Moments of real fear, trust me.
But there were also so many moments of real magic. The first time I saw the finca lit up at golden hour and thought: “this is the place”. The first guests who walked through the door and immediately smiled. The breakfasts I made with fruits from our own garden. The mornings I stood by the pool looking out over the hills and couldn’t believe this was my life.
We are still building, growing, learing and figuring it out, one day at a time. But this week? We reached 100+ booking, just within months of opening and I could not have been more proud of my team, my family. 🧡
And I just want to say thank you. To every single person who believed in this place, who chose us, trusted us, and made the journey here to the hills of Málaga. You are the reason our little dream keeps growing.
Hija de las Flores means “daughter of the flowers”. And slowly, beautifully, she is truly blooming. 🌸
With all my love,
Iris 🧡
