🚨 BORDER ALERT: Passport stamps are officially history at Madrid-Barajas. The EU’s biometric Entry/Exit System (EES) is fully operational. Everything is tracked digitally via facial scans and fingerprints. Leaving the Schengen zone for a weekend will no longer “reset” your days. The automated system leaves zero room for manual error.

If your TIE is currently expired or en trámite, automated border scanners won’t read your paper receipts. You need an official Autorización de Regreso to get back into Spain safely.

⚠️ THE CRUCIAL RULES:
1️⃣ The Regreso is a Spanish document. It does NOT allow you to travel or have layovers in other Schengen countries (like France or Germany). It is strictly for direct travel to your home country and back.
2️⃣ It is valid for 90 days and works for ONE single re-entry only.
