arkets for bargain hunting, marina and many excellent restaurants for eating out, and gold courses at Sotogrande and Manilva. Leading from the living room is a patio and garden with stunning sea views, furnished with a table and chairs, recliners to enable you to dine and relax in the morning sunshine or evening sunset. With one double, and one twin bedroom, and additional single room, the house is ideal for families and golfers with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay. In the complex are three secure pools, and common gardens, and access to the beach can be safely enjoyed by the residents of the complex which comprises of several houses. A short walk along the beach brings you to a quaint fishing village Castillo de Duquesa with excellent restaurants and many beach bars serving locally caught fresh fish, a little further along is the well known Puerto Duquesa with its beautiful harbour, shops, bars and restaurants - a selection to suit every taste - French, Chinese, Thai, Italian, Indian! There are excellent supermarkets at Sabinillas including Eroski, Lidl and Maxi supermarket. Our townhouse is located on the Manilva beach between Sotogrande and Duquesa. The enclosed property is quiet and very safe for children as is the gated shared pool area with its landscaped gardens. The property benefits from a spacious living and dining area that opens up onto the patio. If golf is your thing, there are world class golf courses nearby, such as Valderrama, but if golf is not your "thing" there are plenty of attractions, beaches, restaurants and local villages and markets to keep the others busy while you relax by the pool. We are only 5 minutes drive from the designer shops, fabulous beach and marina at Sotogrande. The relaxed atmosphere of Puerto de la Duquesa is very close with its picturesque marina and a great selection of bars and chiringuitos as well as restaurants offering international cuisine. The local seaside market town is Sabinillas where you will find supermarkets, shops, banks, bars, tapas bars and fish restaurants. Blue flag beaches and a twice weekly market ensure it retains a typical Spanish feel. Duquesa is midway between Marbella and Gibraltar on the Costa del Sol - popular for its 320 days of sunshine a year. Africa can often be seen from the miles of sandy beaches. Andaluicia is famous for its white villages, nestled in the surrounding hills and mountains, the closest of these 'Casares' is a 20 min drive through the countryside and makes a great location for lunch, while you admire the breathtaking views. The Costa del Sol is a golfer's paradise with over 60 courses on the coast including Valderrama (20 mins drive). Elegant Marbella and Puerto Banus the local 'playground of the rich' are a 30 minute drive. British owned Gibraltar (30 mins) is an alternative day trip, with its VAT free prices, spectacular scenery and the only native monkey colony in Europe. Duquesa:
Duquesa Port is one of Spain's best kept secrets. Attractive promenades encircling the marina of gently bobbing boats, offer a variety of restaurants, bars and cafes in which to while away the hours. To either side of the port are great sandy beaches which never get crowded, both of which have beach bars open during the summer months. Behind the port lies an 18 hole golf course (Duquesa Golf), with fabulous views of the Mediterranean. Sabinillas is a 5 minute walk along the beach. It is an authentic Spanish fishing village, with a traditional selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Here you can witness the daily catch, as local fisherman bringing their boats onto the beach. Then you can select one of the great fish (or other) restaurants for lunch.
5 mins inland from Sabinillas a great Sunday market is held, which attracts many visitors.
