Away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist areas, the Casa Font i Roig is situated in Maria de la Salut, the tranquil heart of Majorca.

Our hotel has a remarkable past. The mansion was established in 1520 by the Family Font i Roig. In 1545 a son was born whose name went down in history. Julián Font i Roig became a priest, novice teacher and a deputy prior. He left such an impressive legacy that he was later canonised. Known for his endless mercy to the poor, his profound faith and his ascetic lifestyle, he became famous as a mirac

le worker, healer and even a prophet. When he died in 1613, after many years as the confessor to the bishop of Majorca at that time, and after having contributed to the founding of several monasteries on the island, people referred to him as “The Holy Father”. The small chapel in our hotel is reminiscent of that era. For centuries the house remained in the hands of the Font i Roig Family until it was sold in the 90’s of the last century to a German couple from Berlin. After its renovation, it was turned into a hotel with the name “Casa Girasol”. After buying it in 2014, we carefully restored it and gave it back its original name.
