Golf in the sun.....Just 50 minute drive from our villa is this wonderful golf course Aguillon......Set in beautiful surroundings of mountains on one side & sea views on the other, this course is exceptional value for money and has some very interesting holes.

Aguillon has 5 coloured tee boxes and will test even the very best golfers that choose to take the course on at it's longest off the black tees. But for those that want a less strenuous round while taking in the amazing views, there are 4 other tee boxes to choose from.

The staff are very friendly here and the food is also very very good and is even worth a visit just to have lunch while taking in the views.

The holes in the pictures are the 15th par 4 and the short but tricky par 3 17th....

On Boxing Day 2021 we were playing in shorts and Tee shirt, so why not book our villa and come and enjiy some of the finest golf courses Spain has to offer.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! Desert Springs (Almeria)

Having played the course recently myself, I can highly recommend that you play this course at least once. It's a totally different concept to any other Spanish or even possibly European golf course as it's design is to replica the desert courses of California, U.S.A.

With it's giant cacti & tight fairways, it's a good challenge to any golfer and you definitely don't feel you're in Spain, in fact, you almost expect Clint Eastwood to appear on his horse.

Desert Springs is very reasonably priced for a round including buggy and the practice facilities are also very good, as was the condition of the course when I played it in November 2021.

I would recommend that you take an old club that you don't mind damaging as the terrain if you miss the fairway (like me) is very hard on the golf clubs,

The villa is only 1 hour drive from the golf course but as this is Spain, the quiet Spanish roads make it feel more like a 30 min drive.
