Sometimes the best ingredient is time, and here, you’ve got plenty of it. But if you want to know the secret to our homemade tomato sauce recipe: save this post! 🧡

Gently sauté the garlic and onion over a low heat, taking your time 🧄🧅… let the aroma start to fill the kitchen. Our secret lies in adding a teaspoon of honey 🍯 and, once it’s well mixed in, adding several finely chopped tomatoes 🍅, a carrot 🥕, a green pepper 🫑, a dash of olive oil and a pinch of salt

Let it cook slowly. Stir from time to time, taste, adjust… and if you fancy it, add a touch of fresh basil at the end. Blend it all together really well and that’s it! 🍃💚

It’s not just a sauce. It’s that moment of calm, of cooking without watching the clock and of enjoying the simple things too ❤️
