A symbol of protection, good luck and positive energy, Indalo has watched over this land for thousands of years. You’ll spot it everywhere around Mojácar — on houses, walls, jewellery and local art.

🇪🇸 Looking for an authentic Andalusian experience near Mojácar?

A little trip to Níjar – definitely worth it!

If you’re staying in Mojácar and feel like discovering something different, take a trip to Níjar, a beautiful Andalusian town less than an hour away.

Níjar is especially famous for its traditional pottery and ceramics. 🏺 Walking around, you’ll find small family-run shops and workshops where colourful plates, bowls, mugs, jugs and other handmade pieces are still produced and painted locally.

One place we particularly recommend is Alfarería Ángel y Loli – a fantastic little pottery workshop and shop full of authentic Andalusian ceramics. It’s almost impossible to leave without buying something! 😊

Add the narrow streets, white houses and relaxed local atmosphere, and Níjar makes a perfect half-day trip from Mojácar.

This boat trip was one of the highlights of our stay. Spectacular cliffs, hidden sea caves, crystal-clear water, and beautiful secluded bays where you can stop for a refreshing swim – everything you could hope for on the Mediterranean.

The crew was friendly, professional, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish.

If you’re visiting Cabo de Gata, don’t miss this amazing adventure. It’s the perfect way to discover the coastline from a completely different perspective. Highly recommended! 🚤💙
