🌟 Wow, what a whirlwind of a month it has been here at the hacienda! 🌟

Our hearts (and our guest rooms!) have been completely full. We’ve loved welcoming back so many familiar, returning faces, as well as meeting all the wonderful new guests who chose to spend their time with us.

From the soulful energy of live concerts and the vibrant traditions of the Romería, to spectacular horse shows, unforgettable hen parties, and, of course, celebrating Christine’s birthday in style—there hasn't been a quiet moment, and we wouldn't have it any other way! 🥂✨

Sharing all of these incredible experiences with you has been absolute magic.

A Day of Tradition and Pride

What an incredible honor it was for Hacienda Horses to take part in the Mollina Romeria this past weekend! 🇪🇸✨

Accompanied by around 80 ridden horses, horse-drawn carriages, and the local community on foot, we joined the pilgrimage as the statue of the Virgin of the Olives was escorted to her summer residence in the heart of the olive groves. 🌿🐎

A huge thank you to Curro, head of the Mollina Horse Association, for organizing such a seamless and beautifully managed ceremony. It is a privilege to be part of such a deep-rooted local tradition.

It’s days like these that remind us why we do what we do. There is nothing quite like the sight of dozens of horses moving together in celebration.

🐴 New Faces & Mini Magic at Hacienda Horses! ☀️
Spring has brought some stunning new additions to our stables! We are thrilled to introduce four beautiful Andalusians who have joined the team this April. 🇪🇸

Ready to Ride: Two of these boys are already settled in and ready to meet our guests!

The Next Generation: Our other two newcomers will be coming along beautifully this year, getting prepped for the 2027 season.

These handsome boys will be joining our favourites, Activo and Goya, to make our guest team better than ever! 🐎✨

🍪 The "Biscuit Boys" have arrived!
It’s not just the big guys making an impression. Our two new minis, Oreo and Ginger, are officially part of the family! They’ve been busy making friends with the big horses and are already absolute favourites with all our visitors. Who can resist those faces? 😍

🐴 Spring Updates from Hacienda Horses
The warm weather has officially arrived, and we couldn't be happier! The Hacienda is once again filled with the sounds of laughter and the energy of guests enjoying the Spanish sun.

Meet the New Team Members
Our horses are transitioning back from their winter break in the outdoor barns, and they seem genuinely thrilled to be back in action.

Activo & Ninfa: These two are currently moving through our integration program. With their teeth checked and their saddles and bridles custom-fitted, they’ll be ready to meet you very soon!

Ghost & Boy: A huge welcome to these two, who joined us just this week. They have been absolute stars already. A special shout-out to Maria for her incredible work with them—the smiles and laughter say it all!

February and the beginning of March was incredible, we had visitors from America, Russia and many other countries such a special time.

The sun is out, the days are long, and things are looking beautiful here! ☀️🌱

The hacks have been incredible lately, with plenty of amazing canters through the lush greenery. We are especially excited to see our wild orchids back in full bloom—they really make the trails feel magical.

🐴 Team Updates
We are thrilled to have our seasonal crew back with us! A huge welcome back to Adrian in the kitchen, along with Donna and Vanessa. The "happy mix" is officially restored!

We also have a new face in the yard—Poli, who has joined us all the way from Estonia. She’s picked up the stable routine in record time, and it’s safe to say the horses already adore her. 🇪🇪✨

📅 Looking Ahead
The team is growing even more! We have two new stable staff members joining the family in the next two weeks. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on their progress as they settle in.

We had visitors from America to Russia, such a special time.

And... exhale! 🥂 This year’s renovations at the Cortijo are officially complete!

From a fresh new pool liner (ready for summer! ☀️) to a much-needed stable yard upgrade, we’ve been busy. The builders finished the concreting and the new guttering for the school is in place—bring on the rain, we’re staying dry! ☔️

Most importantly, the horses now have new field shelters, ensuring everyone has plenty of shade. We are officially ready for 2026 and couldn't be happier. ✨"

🇳🇿 Greetings from New Zealand & Big News for 2026! 🐴
It’s been a little while since our last update, and for a very good reason—Paul and I have been away on a month-long driving tour of New Zealand! Paul is well and truly in his happy place behind the wheel, and we’ve seen some absolutely breathtaking sights. We’ll be returning fully rested and ready to welcome you all back for a fantastic 2026 season.

🏠 Familiar Faces & New Beginnings
We are thrilled to announce that Mike (our former chef and jack-of-all-trades) has rejoined the family as our Manager! It’s working out wonderfully, and his help means Paul and I might actually get a few more days off this year. I’m especially looking forward to spending more time in the saddle with the five new horses that have joined us this season!

🎓 Training Updates
A big thank you to Alvaro, who has been our trainer through February. He’ll be leaving us in early March to focus on his new business, and we wish him the very best!

Taking the reins for March, we have Michelle and two new trainers joining the team. We’re heading into an extremely busy period, so the extra hands on deck will be fantastic.

🌟 The Dream Team
Our "Summer Crew" is almost entirely back together! Donna, Vanessa, and Adrian (back in the kitchen!) are all here, so returning guests will feel right at home. Plus:

Jorge is working hard keeping all the horses fit, healthy, and happy.

Steve the handyman is still with us full-time, keeping the place in tip-top shape with ongoing repairs and renovations.
