From 8th to 13th September, Jerez de la Frontera plays host to the WAWE World Working Equitation Championship at the prestigious Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre.

We will be taking 2 guided day trips directly from Cortijo Uribe to Jerez, giving our guests a unique front-row opportunity to watch, break down, and learn from the best horse-and-rider pairs in the world!

The paint brushes are officially down, the stables and Cortijo are looking sparkling clean and refreshed, and we are gearing up for an incredible autumn season! 🎨✨

🚧 **Working Equitation is Arriving!**
Our brand-new Working Equitation obstacles arrive the first week of September! We can’t wait to set up the course, put our amazing horses through their paces, and see who has a natural knack for this brilliant discipline.

🐴 **Welcoming Back Vix Ford | Sept 19th – 26th**
We are thrilled to welcome back the fantastic Vix Ford! So many of our guests know and love Vix, and we can’t wait for her to bring her incredible energy and coaching back to the yard for a full week.

✨ **EXCLUSIVE CLINIC: Sofia Valença | Oct 6th & 7th**
We are honored to announce two days of training with **Sofia Valença**, renowned Portuguese master of the Valença method and expert Working Equitation trainer!

Exciting updates from the yard! 🐴✨

We’ve been busy painting, and the new roof over our outdoor school is officially finished! Having two covered areas for lessons and schooling is going to make such a difference for training in any weather.

To top off a busy week, we all took a break to watch the eclipse. The view from the Sunset Apartment patio was absolutely breath-taking—it truly lived up to its name! 🌅🌒 We are already receiving inquiries from guests for next year August 2nd, when another eclipse is expected.

We are also thrilled to introduce our newest addition: O***m!

He’s a beautiful, French-bred, chunky little horse with a lovely temperament. We’re hoping he will be a wonderful partner for Scarlett and our beginner riders. Beyond his sweet nature, O***m has the most incredible coat colours and markings—if you look closely at his pattern, you can actually spot a hidden letter! 🔍🎨

His previous owners named him O***m, and we decided to keep it—it’s already brought plenty of smiles and good-humoured conversation around the yard.

☀️ July Round-Up at Hacienda Horses! 🐴
What a month it has been! July certainly brought the summer heat, but thanks to our early morning rides and covered arena, we didn't miss a single beat (or stride!). Our riders enjoyed cool morning breezes, and after time in the saddle, everyone was more than happy to kick back and relax by the pool. 🏊✨

Here are a few highlights from July:

🐴 Our Youngsters shine: Our new 4-year-olds Pio, Titan, Pedrito and Activo have been absolutely amazing! They are now all working beautifully in the school and are eagerly awaiting for our autumn guests to arrive in September.

🐦 Farewell to the Swallows: The swallows joined us again to hatch their young this year. The fledglings have grown strong and are now ready for their long journey home!

✨ Reiki with Horses: We have introduced something brand new to the estate that is already proving to be wonderfully popular! Our amazing Reiki healer, Kasia, has been holding peaceful Reiki sessions with the horses. If you’d love to experience this gentle, restorative practice during your next stay, these sessions must be booked in advance—just drop us an email at [email protected] to secure your spot!

🔥 Poolside BBQs & Patio Paseos: Our poolside BBQs were a total hit as always, and our adorable miniature ponies completely stole the show during their regular Patio Paseos!

🐶 Puppy Update: The two rescue puppies we took in have grown so much stronger and are doing amazingly well. In just 3 weeks, they turn 3 months old and will be ready to head off to loving forever homes. If you (or someone you know) would love to welcome a new furry friend into your family, please send us a message!

🏗️ Arena Upgrades: With our new Working Equitation obstacles arriving in August, our builders have been hard at work constructing a new shade roof over the outdoor arena. This will give us fantastic coverage to use the area comfortably year-round, rain or shine!

💦 Behind the Scenes: July is our annual time for a thorough cleaning of all water tanks and pipes. We are thrilled to report it went off without a single hitch! A huge shoutout to Mike, who made sure the staff were on point so our horses always had uninterrupted access to fresh water.

Safety & Security: Fitted with a ramp guard (prevents horses from exiting when the ramp is lowered) and vehicle tracking equipment. A sensor is also fitted on the main horse door to log exactly when the ramp doors are opened.

Climate Control: Regulation high-movement roof fan with cover, plus dedicated roof air conditioning specifically for the horses.

Power: Equipped with two additional auxiliary batteries dedicated entirely to running the horse area fans independently from the main vehicle battery.

✨ Old Friends, New Faces, and Big News at the Cortijo! ✨

This June has been absolutely wonderful here at Hacienda Horses. We’ve been thrilled to welcome back familiar faces and greet many lovely new ones—and the weather has been incredibly kind to us all! ☀️🐴

We’ve had a busy month packed with exciting updates:

🇪🇸 A Taste of Local Culture: We took our guests to see a traditional local Carrera de Cintas competition! It was fantastic to experience this fast-paced Andalusian tradition together and cheer on the riders.

🐶 New Puppy Arrivals: Our hearts are completely melted because we have two brand-new Podenco puppies! We think they are only 6 weeks old, and after a visit to Javier our vet, they seem to be doing very well. They are already bringing so much joy (and a bit of mischief) to the yard! 🐾

🐴 Welcome, Linda! We are also delighted to introduce a brand-new member of our riding herd. Many of you might recognize her, as she belonged to a local village family for many years. She is a phenomenal schoolmistress who has settled in beautifully. Whether she’s working with riders in the school or exploring out in the campo, she is loving her work. Her name means "beautiful" in Spanish, and we think you’ll agree—she truly is! 😍
