📍Holiday rental house for nature lovers and explorers in Motril, Andalusia, Spain  To save some precious time. You will love the silence out here!

stainable. It is located 20 km from Motril in the middle of a National Parc without connection to water or electricity net. Water comes from big tank that is filled either with rain water we collect on the roof of the house or with water from a mountain spring nearby. Four solar panels generate enough electricity to run the fridge, some lamps and for you to recharge all your devices.
- As we don’t have connection to the water net, there is no normal toilet with flashing water. Therefore we installed a compost toilet in a shed outside the house. Not a luxury bathroom, but completely sustainable and functional.
- In the kitchen you will find a normal fridge and a beautiful, high quality gas stove to make cooking super easy and fun. If you want to, we are also happy to bring you a box with fresh, seasonal and organic grown vegetables from a friend & farmer nearby.
- This house is the only building in a surrounding of 4 square kilometers. It is perfect for reconnecting with nature, to relax and calm down. Still there are many things to do nearby: You can discover the 36.000 square meters of the property with two caves and a dried river bed, as well as hiking in the pine-tree forest up the hill or watch wild goats, ibexes and many other animals that live in the national park.
- You will find all types of landscapes nearby: On the one hand, the beautiful beach of Motril and Calahonda is only 25 minutes from the house, on the other hand you can reach the impressive mountains of the Sierra Nevada within 60 minutes. You could go skiing and swimming on the beach within the same day, if you wanted to!
- We love kids and would be happy to welcome your whole family (of course with all you pets!). The little ones will have much fun discovering the property, climbing rocks and gazing at the amazing views around.
- As the house is in the middle of a National Park, the road that brings you to the house, might not be the most comfortable to pass via car. Even if it is possible, we still recommend to leave the car at a save and free parking lot 10 Minutes by foot from the house. Trust us, you will enjoy the walk to the house: the view is amazing! We are very happy to welcome you to our little Casa!

We want you to enjoy a great time at our house with those you love!

Because if the location outdoors and the huge property if 36.000 Squaremeters, it is a paradise for at least two couples or you, your partner and family. The house includes two bedrooms with double beds and a cozy couch that can also be used as a bed (if necessary).

The property is great for children to explore nature: It holds many secret spots like for example two caves (one that is a few meters long and another that is so long that we didn’t even make it to the end of it!).

You will very sure see wild goats almost everyday, can climb on rocks, explore the dried river bed, collect wild herbs, go hiking in the close pine-tree forest …

… and the best is: the beautiful beach is only 25 minutes from you! 🏖

Building a kitchen without electricity and water connection can be challenging! But we love the outcome of it!

With the solar panels outside the house and a few batteries in the garage we were able to install an electric network within the house to run the fridge, a few lamps and still have enough electricity for you to charge all your devices for at least two weeks (in case the sun doesn’t show up at all, which is almost never the case). ☀️

The stove is a beautiful high quality gas stove that will cook you meals faster than most electric versions.

And the water?
We installed a water system with a few tanks outside the house that are either getting refilled via rain water we collect from the roof of our house or with water from the mountain spring close to the house. So the water that comes from the tap is obviously not for drinking, but can be used for cleaning dishes, for brushing your teeth and (if boiled to 100 degrees) for cooking as well 💧

First little insight into the inside of the house! 🏡

We wanted to make the inside of the house as cozy as possible for you to feel like home!

At the same time, we tried to keep it minimalistic and creative by using items and materials that were already there - inside the house or outside in the property - and give them a second life.

We chose the colors fitting to the surrounding environment. We want you to reconnect with nature again during your stay, so you leave feeling grounded, relaxed and free.

During winter you can enjoy the cozy warmth of a fire in the stove while watching the stars through one of the huge panoramic windows ✨

The house is for you to reconnect with your inner self, a place for calming and relaxing and getting creative. We wish you a great journey with yourself! ☀️

We were working on the house for over a year!

When we bought the house, it was just a ruin with no doors or windows. It was built in the 60s illegally and was used by a agricultural farmer for cultivating different things. Then it was being left until we found it.

We started by rebuilding basic stuff: putting windows and doors in, rebuilding walls, laying floors, connecting solar panels to get sustainable electricity from the always shining sun here.

Then there came the more detailed tuff: building a compost toilet, a shower, painting walls inside and outside, buying a kitchen and other furniture, connecting it to the internet and so on and so forth.

We are so happy that the house is finally as far as it is now, so we can rent it out to you!

We hope you like it very much and enjoy being there as much as we do! Even if some solutions are a little unconventional 😊

What we appreciate the most about the house is the quietness…

As it is in the middle of the national park of Motril, there is nothing around it - no neighbors, no street, no cars, no noises.

The only sounds you will hear come from nature itself: singing birds, the blowing wind, ibexes or goats, your own footsteps on the earth.

Nights are dark out here, so you will also see one of the most impressive starry skies of Spain.

And not to mention the great ocean view! 🌊

The street to the property might be a little adventurous (at least by car, by foot it’s no problem at all), but it will definetly be worth it!

This is Casa Natural, our little holiday rental house near Motril in Andalusia, Spain. It is a project that grew for a long time in our heart and our mind and this year, in 2022, finally came to life.

On this page, we want to share photos and videos to give you a better impression on the project and explain you, why it is so important to us.
