🏴☠️A little cowboy poetry for everyone........
There's a hundred years of history
And a hundred before that
All gathered in the thinking
Going on beneath his hat
The cold flame burns within him
'Til his skin's as cold as ice
And the dues he paid to get here
Are worth every sacrifice.
All the miles spend sleepy drivin'
All the money down the drain,
All the 'if I's' and 'nearly's, '
All the bandages and pain,
All the female tears left dryin',
All the fever and the fight
Are just a small down payment
On the ride he makes tonight.
It's guts and love and glory,
One mortal's chance at fame.
His legacy is rodeo
And cowboy is his name.
🇩🇪Ein bisschen Cowboy-Poesie für alle…
Hundert Jahre Geschichte, und hundert Jahre davor, alles vereint in seinen Gedanken, die unter seinem Hut vor sich gehen. Die kalte Flamme brennt in ihm, bis seine Haut eiskalt ist. Und die Mühen, die er auf sich genommen hat, um hierher zu gelangen, sind jedes Opfer wert. All die Meilen, die er müde am Steuer zurücklegte, all das verschwendete Geld, all die „Was wäre wenn“- und „Beinahe“-Momente, all die Verbände und Schmerzen, all die getrockneten Tränen der Frauen, all das Fieber und der Kampf sind nur eine kleine Anzahlung für seinen heutigen Ritt. Es geht um Mut, Liebe und Ruhm, die Chance eines Sterblichen auf Berühmtheit. Sein Vermächtnis ist Rodeo, und Cowboy ist sein Name.

Hay cien años de historia
Y cien antes de eso
Todos reunidos en el pensamiento
Que se desarrolla bajo su sombrero
La fría llama arde en su interior
Hasta que su piel está tan fría como el hielo
Y el precio que pagó para llegar hasta aquí
Vale la pena cada sacrificio.
Todas las millas pasadas conduciendo somnoliento
Todo el dinero tirado por el desagüe,
Todos los "si" y "casi",
Todas las vendas y el dolor,
Todas las lágrimas femeninas que se secan,
Toda la fiebre y la lucha
Son solo un pequeño anticipo
En el viaje que emprende esta noche.
Es agallas, amor y gloria,
La oportunidad de un mortal de alcanzar la fama.
Su legado es el rodeo
Y vaquero es su nombre.
