September is when we all agree to go back to “normal.”
Alarms. Shoes. Passwords we were certain we would remember.
Lunch at an appropriate hour and absolutely no lying under a tree unless it has been scheduled in advance.

It’s good to be back.

We are doing our best. (truly)

At least we have located the "proper clothes", answered several emails and begun wearing "proper shoes".

There are quiet corners at Forest Days that have a habit of keeping you up later than planned.

You sit down for five minutes and somehow it’s midnight. Someone wanders past, someone stops for a chat, another bottle gets opened — and above it all, the night sky is putting on a frankly ridiculous show.

No queues, no closing time, no need to be anywhere else. Just one of those very simple places where doing almost nothing turns out to be exactly the most wonderful thing in the world.
