Important update for property owners and investors in Spain 🇪🇸

On May 21, 2026, the Spanish Supreme Court annulled the national NRA / NRUA registration system for short-term rentals.

The ruling does not remove regional tourist licences, local regulations or guest registration requirements. However, it may simplify a process that has created a lot of uncertainty for property owners, investors and rental companies across Spain.

We hope the authorities and rental platforms will implement the changes quickly and provide clear guidance going forward.

For many property owners, this could be a positive step towards a simpler and more transparent regulatory framework.
