The Cantueso complex is a small cluster of 10 one and two bedroom self-catering cottages able to accommodate from one to five people. The clever site layout of the cottages, means there are plenty of quiet corners and makes them equally attractive to couples or families. Each has a self-contained terrace with BBQ and is surrounded by beautiful gardens with access to the large “soft-water” swimming
pool. The views are a mix of lake and mountains and can be seen live on our webcam. All families are catered for with mini-golf, a trampoline, table tennis, boules, darts, table football, swings, slide, see-saw, football and games area as well as special provision for those with babies. Rural Cottages: Our cottages are built in traditional Andalucían style with wooden ceilings and furnishings. Heating and cooling is either electric or using the wood-burning stove in the sitting room. All bathrooms have a bath with shower. The kitchen is open-plan and equipped with all the usual utensils and tableware. There is also a gas hob and microwave oven. (Gas is provided free.) All bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. There is a safe for your valuables and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Heating & Cooling: All cottages have reverse-cycle air-conditioning, which gives cooling in summer and heating in winter. Latest technology makes them very economical to use. Meter cards are used, which means that you only pay for the electricity used. Television: Spanish and UK Freesat television, radio and a DVD player are provided in all cottages.
12 X 6 Metre Pool: Our pool is securely fenced with self-closing gates, complying with the latest European standards. Parents may appreciate that we have reduced the depth at the shallow end to ½ metre and now have easy access steps for children. To save on luggage we hire pool towels for a small charge. Laundry Room: a washing machine, iron and ironing board are available in the laundry room. For families: many items such as cots, high chairs, stair gates, baby alarms and buggies are also available. Wi-Fi Hot Spot: we provide free wi-fi access in all cottages and on the restaurant terrace. Spanish Cuisine: One of the most praised things about our complex is the on-site restaurant. It means that when you don’t feel like cooking you can order a take-away meal or relax in the restaurant and bar. The cuisine is Spanish/Mediterranean, and all home-cooked by our professional team, using local seasonal ingredients. Please see our separate Facebook restaurant page: CantuesoPeriana. We cater for children with their own menu and freshly cooked small portions. Our chefs are experienced in dealing with most food allergies and will modify dishes or cook to order. Celebrate: For that special occasion or if there is a group of friends you may book several cottages with special rates. Periana Village: All the usual facilities such as shops, supermarkets, chemist, doctors, dentist, bars and restaurants are available 1,5 km away in Periana. All around Cantueso there are many cycle rides and picturesque walks, for which we can provide walking routes, and just 20 minutes away there are larger towns and many beaches.
