🧗‍♂️ CLIMBERS — WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

We’ve got something a little different going on at Mount Tatum.

Around 40 acres of mountains, rock, cliffs and rough terrain sitting here in the hills above Pizarra, Málaga — and we want to find out what’s possible.

We’re looking to connect with experienced climbers who fancy coming out, having a look around and putting their climbing eyes on the place.

We’re not claiming to be a climbing centre, and we’re not pretending we know what’s climbable.

That’s where you come in.

We’d love to meet someone with proper climbing experience who can explore the terrain with us, identify potential routes, tell us what could work, and maybe even help us develop some kind of regular climbing activity at Mount Tatum in the future.

There’s plenty of rock here. There are steep sections, exposed areas, natural features and a bloody big mountain to investigate.

So if you’re a climber in Málaga, an instructor, route setter, climbing group, or just someone who knows their way around a rock face and thinks:

“I’d have a look at that.”

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Mount Tatum is private land and currently has no purpose-built climbing facilities. Anyone choosing to climb or explore climbing terrain does so entirely at their own risk and must assess the conditions, equipment and suitability of any activity themselves. We are simply inviting experienced climbers to come and look at the possibilities with us.

If you’re looking for somewhere to escape for a few days where you can actually get outside and explore, Mount Tatum in Pizarra is pretty hard to beat.

We’ve got 78 acres of private land to wander through, with walking routes winding between the olive trees, across the mountains and through some seriously beautiful countryside. 🌳🫒⛰️

And yes… the dogs are welcome too. 🐕❤️

No need to leave them behind or spend your holiday worrying about finding somewhere to exercise them. Open space, mountain air and plenty of room to stretch their legs.

Whether you fancy a proper hike, an early morning walk with the dog, a few hours exploring the olive groves or simply getting away from the noise for a while — Mount Tatum gives you the space to do it.

And when the walking is done, you’ve got somewhere comfortable to stay and those mountain views right on your doorstep.

Mount Tatum — When the Season Gets Going

There’s a point in the year when the mountain starts getting busy again.

The bikes come out. The trails get used. People start looking for somewhere they can actually get amongst it rather than just sit by a pool.

That’s what Mount Tatum is about.

We’re right in the middle of the countryside around Pizarra, surrounded by rough tracks, hills, olive trees, open ground and mountain terrain — the kind of place that makes sense if you’re into cross-country motocross, trail riding, mountain biking, hiking or just getting away from the usual tourist spots.

With the motocross season starting to get going, we’re expecting to see plenty more riders heading into the area, and Mount Tatum is a pretty handy base for anyone who wants to combine riding with a few days in the Málaga countryside.

And it’s not just about the bikes.

Walk the mountain. Bring the mountain bike. Explore the tracks. Get the dogs out. Spend the day riding and come back to the fire in the evening. Or simply use the place as a base while you explore everything around Pizarra, El Chorro and Málaga.

We’ve got 78 acres of our own land, a few very different places to stay, and plenty of space to actually breathe.

This isn’t a polished resort.

It’s a working piece of Andalusian countryside — a bit wild, a bit rough around the edges, and exactly why we like it.
