Out early, through Pollença — narrow streets, worn stone, the town not quite awake.
Then the road begins to pull. Coll de Femenia first, and, if the legs are there, Sa Calobra — long, quiet, all rhythm and turns.
A pause at Lluc, at Ca’n Gallet — bread, olives, a glass of something local —before carrying on. Further along, a bend opens suddenly: the valley below, the sea held in the distance. Then back on the bike, not quite ready to leave it.
