It’s a windsurfing, kitesurfing kind of a morning today, thanks to the tail end of a mistral which has come in from France. It’s actually a lovely pause from the heat.
Puerto Pollensa bay at the Alcúdia end is a hot spot for kitesurfing & windsurfing. We love seeing the sky for of colour, kites, not to mention amazing speed, tricks & jumps.
If you are a beginner, buddy enthusiast, or complete pro, this is the spot for you!

Sunset over Puerto de Pollensa. This backdrop is one you can never tire of. The Tramuntana mountains change colour throughout the day, greens, blues, purples & pinks to warm amber glows like this. Captivating. There is something grounding and calming about having mountains in your view.

Pollenca Old Town. A magical town walking distance from - full of classically beautiful Mediterranean small streets, boutique shops, bars & restaurants, churches, markets, delicatessens full of local produce and of course a stunning central square where everyone congregates.

Nothing better than fresh pineapple on the beach. During the high season a local seller pushes his wheelbarrow around the beaches selling pineapple, coconut & watermelon. At add to a sense of occasion he cuts up the fruit with his machete knife at alarming speed. It’s a beach afternoon highlight.

Cala Sant Vicenç / Cala San Vicente - a bay with two parts... white sands, crystal clear waters and amazing mountain backdrop. The bay has great beach front restaurants, you’ll need to book in during the high season as it’s a hot spot.. Cal Patro is a favourite.

Sense of arrival..
The weekends are full of changeovers at villas on the island. Palma airport is bursting at the seams & car rental companies are awash with people. So arriving ‘home’ for the start of a holiday is such an exciting part. Full of expectation & wonder. What’s the villa like, is it going to be everything we had hoped it for, what are we going to do on our holiday etc. and how are we going to feel by the end..

Old. Love the combination of old buildings, windows, doors, and balconies. Makes you wonder what it’s history has been. Also makes you wonder who will take on the challenge of restoring the building to its former glory & giving it a new lease of life..

Cave swimming. Amazing rock formations. Immense scale. Crystal clear waters. Nature. Makes you feel completely insignificant... can anyone spot my brother?.
This incredible swimming spot is located around the bay from Puerto Pollensa following round to the bay of Alcúdia. It’s a ritual stop & swim before heading for an amazing lunch at one of the best waterside restaurants on the island La Terraza in Alcanada. Can’t recommend both enough.

Boat rental. Look no further than .nort in Puerto Pollensa. By far the best boats in the bay. Safe, well equipped & boats than can cope with all waters. You can hire a skipper too to take you to all the hot sports as well as those magical hidden secret spots. Hire a boat for a morning/ afternoon/ day or for a full week, it’s up to you but either way it’s an absolute must!.

Kayak-ready . A great place to take to the water in Puerto Pollensa and explore the enormous, family friendly, water sports focussed bay. KayakMallorca.com also have a vast selection of Paddleboards/ SUPs to take out. We’ve seen a few wobbles and a few wipe outs, but it’s so great for your core!
We are trying to master how to floss on a Paddleboard.... now that’s a challenge!.
