One of the best things of my current job at Roffa - Wonen en leven in Spanje is learning new things. I applied for a job in real estate, or so I thought. I am actually busier with construction. Mostly in the office, finding solutions for clients, writing quotes and looking for new suppliers. This yurt frame was a great assignment where a client had a bug problem in the wooden frame of the yurt. We soon decided on a steel frame and I got to design it and finally help build it. My colleague Herman did the welding, but there was some space to teach me a thing or two. Pretty cool! 😎

Another magical night in our vineyard 🔥 We organised a wine tasting with tapas for 10 guests of Casa Mariscal Polopos 🥰 2 wines from our own vineyard, 3 from Calvente and 3 from Verdevique. A faint light on the horizon where the island of Alborán should be, mas o menos. The stars aligned 🤩

🇬🇧 We are working on a really cool new project, about which we can’t say much right now, except that it entails working together with a group of amazing people and learning new techniques. Yesterday we visited José Antonio’s ceramic workshop in Lanjarón to get a feel for painting on tiles. It is a lot harder than you might think! Looking forward to telling you all about what is to come soon 🤗

🇪🇸 Estamos trabajando en un proyecto nuevo y genial, del que aún no podemos revelar muchos detalles, salvo que implica colaborar con un grupo de personas increíbles y aprender nuevas técnicas. Ayer visitamos el taller de cerámica de José Antonio en Lanjarón para familiarizarnos con la pintura sobre azulejos. ¡Es mucho más difícil de lo que parece! Pronto les contaremos todo lo que está por venir 🤗

🇳🇱 We werken aan een supergaaf nieuw project, waar we op dit moment nog niet veel over kunnen zeggen, behalve dat we samenwerken met een groep fantastische mensen en nieuwe technieken moeten leren. Gisteren bezochten we de keramiekwerkplaats van José Antonio in Lanjarón om te ervaren hoe het is om op tegels te schilderen. Het is veel moeilijker dan je denkt! We kijken ernaar uit om jullie straks meer te kunnen vertellen 🤗

What a joy to see so many people from the village come to yesterday’s exhibition of the portraits of francesca brivio ❤️ She managed to capture the essence of every individual, including us! ❤️❤️ If you would like to have your portrait made, or maybe one of your pet or loved ones, Francesca accepts commissions. All she needs is a good photo. As you can see, you will not be disappointed!! 🔥🔥🔥

Wat een feest om zoveel mensen uit het dorp te mogen verwelkomen bij de tentoonstelling van de portretten van Francesca gisteren ❤️ Ze is erin geslaagd de essentie van ieder individu vast te leggen, inclusief die van ons! ❤️❤️ Als je zelf een portret wilt laten maken, of misschien een portret van je huisdier of een geliefde, dan neemt Francesca opdrachten aan. Het enige wat ze nodig heeft is een goede foto. Zoals je ziet, zal ze je niet teleurstellen!! 🔥🔥🔥

Our Francesca Brivio cooked an amazing vegan pesto for us yesterday. I (Wijnand) have avoided carbs for almost three months now so having pasta cooked by an Italian was a treat. Tonight Francesca will end her residency with an exhibition of the paintings she has made in the past weeks. The doors to the residence open tonight between 7 and 8 o’clock. Come say hello!

Nuestro artista residente Francesca nos preparó ayer un pesto vegano increíble. Yo (Wijnand) llevo casi tres meses sin comer carbohidratos, así que disfrutar de una pasta preparada por un italiano fue todo un placer. Esta noche, Francesca finalizará su residencia con una exposición de las pinturas que ha realizado en las últimas semanas. La residencia abre sus puertas hoy entre las 19:00 y las 20:00. ¡Venid a verla!

Onze artist-in-residence Francesca heeft gisteren een fantastische veganistische pesto voor ons gekookt. Ik (Wijnand) heb al bijna drie maanden geen koolhydraten gegeten, dus pasta klaargemaakt door een Italiaan was een ware traktatie. Vanavond sluit Francesca haar residentie af met een van de kunst die ze de afgelopen weken heeft gemaakt. De deuren van de residentie gaan vanavond open tussen 19.00 en 20.00 uur. Kom langs!

Pasaron 7 años, pero finalmente celebramos San Juan. Fuego en la playa, porque todavía no hace suficiente calor 🥵😅

After 7 years we have finally managed to celebrate San Juan, with fire on the beach, because it isn’t hot enough yet 🥵😅

Het heeft 7 jaar geduurd, maar eindelijk een keer San Juan gevierd, met vuur op het strand, omdat het nog niet heet genoeg is 🥵😅
