In conjunction with the video which showcases just some of the beautiful designs throughout the house, here´s a little background information on our designer Aidan James Hurren.

British-born but living in Mallorca since 2003, interior designer Aidan James Hurren has over thirty years of international experience. Originally trained as an illustrator and graphic designer, his design career began in London in the 1980’s, working as a mural artist and specialist decorator. With growing recognition of his talents, he soon began travelling not just around England, but also around the world to work - first in Ireland, then in the USA, soon followed by Germany and Saudi Arabia. Several commissions in the Caribbean (Antigua and Barbados) followed, with yet more US based projects before he undertook his first project on the Spanish mainland. In 2002 Aidan went to Mallorca for a new project, only to fall in love with the island. He made it a permanent change-of-address in 2003. Aidan also has a permanent base in Berlin, adding to his international credentials.

Throughout his career Aidan has worked independently and alongside top international interior designers over a wide range of projects: private residences, restaurants, hotels - rapidly gaining enormous experience and developing his own design skills through real projects He now takes on all aspects of design work, interior and exterior works and both new-build and renovation projects. His work often encompasses everything from the architectural concept, through to the fabrics and furnishings and right down to the finest decorative details. Very occasionally he will still paint a mural…!

Projects in Mallorca include a new-build traditional-style finca near Santanyi; a luxury apartment in the Residencias Mardavall, Costa d’en Blanes; a noble apartment in a former palace in the Old Town of Palma; and of course, the magnificent Villa Kerida in Puerto Andratx.
Other recent projects include an Executive Lounge for a private airline in London; a modern Games Room in a 17th Century Grade-1-listed house near Epping, Essex; the renovation of a finca in the Ibizan countryside plus a house and several apartments in Berlin. Aidan is currently in the last phase of a long and complex project, the complete renovation of a large house and estate, on the beautiful island of Paros in Greece.
