Living in an area -South Eastern Spain- which is absolutely a red wine🍷kingdom, that of the Monastrell grape, is rather noticeable how there is more and more white wine being produced and demanded by customers. The weather is changing, the taste is changing and, more importantly, so does the market. Proof is how new white varieties, formerly considered as intruders, are getting adapted to our very poor and dry soil: airén, macabeo, even malvasía are firmly rooted in the regional vineyards, and they will even get more space.

Este sábado 6 de junio, a partir de las 17.00h, la Plaza del Espejo volverá a llenarse de arte, música, creatividad y cultura alternativa junto al Mar Menor.

🎨 Más de 40 artistas y artesanos participarán en un gran market con ilustración, cerámica, pintura, artesanía, joyería, bisutería, moda, costura, juegos y mucho más.

Además, podrás participar en talleres para todas las edades:
🏺 Taller de cerámica con (17.00h y 18.30h).
🌿 Taller de tejido con palmeras (18.00h).
🪸 Taller de corales de celulosa (19.00h).

📲 Las plazas para los talleres son limitadas y requieren inscripción previa en:

La música en directo pondrá la banda sonora a la jornada con las actuaciones de:

DISCOVER A NATURAL WONDER OF MURCIA!...
Located close to the historic town of Aledo, on the southern slopes of Sierra Espuña, you will discover an impressive natural canyon known as the Estrecho de la Arboleja. It is an enchanting and magical place hidden in the most remote part of the Murcian Region. This natural space, full of charm and beauty, is a small canyon that has been formed over thousands of years where the water has been sculpting the limestone rock. Between ten and fifteen meters in height, they house small sources of water, spectacular limestone formations and small lagoons, turning this area into a unique paradise. The walk takes around an hour, and there are a few steps and some gentle slopes. It is highly recommended to wear comfortable shoes, sun protection and take plenty of water. As you arrive, there is a parking area, picnic benches, and signs to guide you along the route. Location: Parking Estrecho de la Arboleja, 30859 Aledo, Murcia.

¡ ! 🥵 Hoy (02/06/2026) nos toca a nosotros, al sureste de la . Calor extremo de forma muy prematura, hasta 40ºC rondando las 16 horas en algunos puntos. Es una situación típica de pleno verano y no del inicio de junio.

⚠️ Precaución con las personas más vulnerables. Toca hidratarse muy bien y evitar la exposición a estas condiciones en las horas centrales.

📝 Es solo un día. Mañana miércoles bajón de 10ºC, de 40 a 30ºC. Ánimo.

If you ever have to go to Murcia in summer (something we only recommend to our worst enemies), try to pop into this hidden museum by the Old Town's core, Museo de Santa Clara, to discover what the founding Moors did to fight the heat: a mixture of shallow water (pond) and surrounding vegetation, that later set the pattern for the world famous Alhambra's courtyards. Free entrance, by the way. And don't worry, we'll be resuming tours there by september!
