They are two story houses: The ground floor consists of a spacious living-dining room, fully equipped kitchen, pantry and laundry room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Thoughtful design and careful planning have made both very comfortable homes. Well-insulated, they are warm in winter and cool in summer, with large double-glazed windows (Also with mosquito gauze). The floors and wall tiles are hand-made, from Granada, giving a cosy rustic atmosphere which is amplified in winter by the wood-burning stove, open fireplace and radiators heating all the rooms. The kitchen includes an electric cooker with oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the necessary pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Each bedroom has been tastefully decorated and all have built-in wardrobes. Guests will especially enjoy the long summer evenings on the wide veranda, offering tranquil views of the surrounding hills and pleasant garden. Based in one of these delightful homes you have easy access to some beautiful walks through the Sierra de Aracena to the neighbouring villages of Alájar, Aguafría, Castaño del Robelo and Santa Ana la Real, Galaroza which despite its small size, has recently become an important centre for hiking. For wild mushroom enthusiasts, we have many delicious varieties nearby, but it is vital to check your gatherings with local experts to avoid unpleasant surprises. Walks can be organised with a expert local guide or you can find your own way following the trails, which are all well marked, in the footsteps of those who have enjoyed this marvellous countryside since before the time of the Romans. Your stay among chestnuts, holm and cork oaks and poplars whispering in the soft breeze along the edge of the bubbling stream which runs close by, will leave you refreshed and relaxed and surely looking forward to a return visit.
