What a week. 🌞

The Brechfa MTB Club flew out to us last week — seven riders from my old club back in Wales, out in the Axarquía for a week of guided riding, big breakfasts to fuel the day, incredible lunch and tapas stops along the trails, home-cooked Spanish food at the villa (BBQs, paella, the lot), and a lot of long evenings at Casa Fina.

Sun most of the week, one afternoon of rain (we rode anyway, obviously), local w**e, cold b**rs, and more laughs than I can count. These are mates I've known for years and watching them tear into Mediterranean trails after years of Welsh forest was something properly special.

And… it’s a wrap! 🎬

Over eight months of this cheeky guy chasing our arses with his flippin’ camera to capture our Unique Retreats Spain and Mountain Bike Spain shenanigans in the sun 🤯😊

Let’s hope it’s TV worthy 🙈. I guess we’ll find out in January! 😬

We have had an absolute blast filming with Jamie this year and are so fortunate to have been chosen for this show. He’s captured the best and, no doubt, the worst of our escapades. God help us when it goes live! 🤣

Two days, two very different rides 🚵‍♂️

Day one: dropped from the hills straight down to the coast — flowing techy trails, riverbed and sandy beach along the way, finishing with a b**r and our feet in the sea.

Day two: up into the Sierra above Cómpeta to the lost village of Acebuchal — a proper loop with some serious climbing, e-bike assisted but still a leg-burner.

Had Chris from Brechfa MTB (CIC) out to ride the Axarquía trails with us and the weather couldn't have been better — full sun, but surprisingly cool riding through the mountains even mid-afternoon. This is exactly why this corner of Andalucía is such a special place to ride: beach one day, mountain trails and abandoned villages the next.

Been experimenting with different camera angles using the Flymount Aero 40, mounted on the downtube of my Cotic Rocket. Three different setups here — which one do you reckon looks the most dynamic: 1, 2, or 3?
