Entre patios, mármol, arcadas y muros que llevan siglos viendo pasar Sevilla, Palacio de Villapanés conserva pequeños capítulos de su historia y queremos empezar a contarlos.
Porque hay lugares que se visitan y otros que merece la pena conocer.
01 El zaguán
Entrar en Villapanés nunca fue simplemente cruzar una puerta. El zaguán marcaba el paso entre la Sevilla exterior y la intimidad del palacio.
Su escalinata de mármol rojo, sus columnas, arcadas y delicada rejería conservan todavía la monumentalidad de aquella entrada original.
Siglos después, su función apenas ha cambiado. Sigue siendo el lugar donde empieza la historia de quien entra en Palacio de Villapanés.

01 The Entrance Hall
Entering Villapanés was never simply a matter of walking through a door.
The entrance hall marked the transition between the streets of Seville and the privacy of the palace.
Its red marble staircase, columns, arches and delicate ironwork still preserve the grandeur of the original entrance.
Centuries later, its purpose has barely changed.
It is still where the story of everyone who enters Palacio de Villapanés begins.
