Hoy nos gusteria mostrarle algunas impresiones de Costa Rica. Un mercadillo de Navidad en el Capital San José, que surpresa! Y no la ultimo atraccción, tambien nos esperaba una gigantesco espectáculo ecuestre y un carnaval callejero. Después tanto ruido buscamos paz y tranquilidad en la selva. Encontramos paz - pero los animales no son tan tranquilos, los monos rugen, los pajaros gritan, solo los peresosos son muy lentos y silenciosos. Las flores son simplemente preciosas.

Today we want to show you a few impressions of Costa Rica. Who would have expected a Christmas Market in the Capital San José. But that was not the last surprise that awaited us. A gigantic horse show with more than 2.000 equestrian participants and an equally big Street Carnival the next day. After all this noise we fled to the jungle for some peace and quiet. On our long walks there we found peace, but the animals there are not quiet! The monkeys howl, the birds screech, only the sloths are slow and silent. And the flowers they are simply beautiful!

Heute möchten wir euch ein paar Impressionen von Costa Rica zeigen. Ein Weihnachtsmarkt in der Hauptstadt San José, was für eine Überraschung! Aber das sollte nicht die einzige Attraktion bleiben. Es gab eine gigantische Pferde Show mit mehr als 2.000 equestrian Teilnehmern und am nächsten Tag einen wirklich sehenswerten Strassenkarneval, bei dem aber nur ein winziger Bruchteil der in Düsseldorf oder Köln übliche Menge der Karamellen unters Volk geworfen wurden. Nach soviel Krach und Aufregung haben wir Ruhe und Frieden bei Wanderungen durch den Dschungel gesucht. Frieden haben wir gefunden, aber - Tiere sind nicht ruhig! Die Affen brüllen, Vögel schreien, nur das Faultier ist langsam und still. Und die Blumen sind einfach nur schön.

En Riohacha hemos llegado al Caribe. Pequeña decepción: no todos los sitios son como en el folleto de viajes y menos en el epoca de lluvia. Pero encontramos unos lugares lindos. Y nuestra casa era preciosa. Tambien alli comimos buen pescado con coco. Nuestro viaje nos llevó a Palomino despues. Aqui hemos encontrado por fin el Caribe, con aguas azules y palmeras. El pueblo está escondido en la selva que se extiende hasta el mar. Tambien tiene un rio y Martin fue para tubing. Vivimos en una cabana de selva con ducha fuera y un dormitorio al aire libre por el que volaban los pajaros. Una aventura! Y aqui tambien se celebraba el Halloween!

In Riohacha we finally arrived at the Caribbean Sea. A little disappointment awaited us there. The Caribbean doesn't always sparkle everywhere like they try to tell you in the travel brochures, especially not during raining season. But nevertheless we saw some very beautiful places and our little house was a jewel. Here we also ate very tasty fish with coconut. Then our journey took us to Palomino and here we finally found our caribbean dream. A little village nestling in the jungle that reached right down to the beach with coconut trees everywhere. Martin floated down a river on a tube and had a lot of fun. We stayed in a precious little hut with an outside shower and a bedroom open to the elements where birds were flying right through the room. What an adventure! To top it all they celebrated Halloween there as well.

In Riohacha haben wir nun endlich die langerwartete Karibik erreicht. Gleich zu Anfang eine Enttäuschung - die Karibik sieht nicht überall so aus wie es die Hochglanzbroschüren verheissen, schon gar nicht während der Regenzeit. Trotzdem haben wir ein paar hübsche Fleckchen entdeckt. Auch das Häuschen, in dem wir untergekommen sind, war herrlich von blühenden Pflanzen umgeben. Der Fisch mit Kokosnuss war hervorragend. Unsere Reise führte uns weiter nach Palomino und hier, endlich die erträumte Karibik! Das kleine Dorf liegt versteckt mitten im Dschungel, der bis ans Meer reicht. Das Wasser blau, Kokospalmen überall. Es gab auch einen Fluss, auf dem Martin sich im tubing versuchte und viel Spass dabei hatte. Unser kleines Häuschen besass eine Aussendusche, das Schlafzimmer hatte einfach nur ein Dach, war ansonsten offen und die Vögel flogen einfach mitten durch. Ein Abenteuer! Und zu unserer Überraschung wurde auch Halloween gefeiert.
