There are some places that simply stay with you forever, and today was one of those days.
Standing in César Manrique's Volcano House in Tahíche, We found ourselves in complete awe of the vision and creativity of a man who saw beauty where many would have seen only hardened lava. Built in 1968, his remarkable home sits in the middle of a lava flow created during the great volcanic eruptions of the 18th century. By connecting five natural volcanic bubbles beneath the surface, he created a home unlike any other.
Every room tells a story. Huge windows frame the dramatic landscape, inviting the outside in, while the striking contrast between the brilliant white architecture and the black volcanic rock creates a sense of peace, harmony and timelessness. It is impossible not to wonder what an extraordinary mind César Manrique possessed to imagine and create something so breathtaking.

One quote displayed in his home particularly resonated:
"I have always had great vitality, I'm very positive, with a great joy for life."

Those words seem to echo throughout the house and perfectly reflect the spirit that lives on in his work. His love for Lanzarote shines through every carefully designed space and every thoughtful detail.
No matter how many times we explore this incredible island, it never ceases to amaze us.
Lanzarote truly is The Island of Dreams - a place that captures your heart and inspires your soul.

✨ Noche Blanca – Teguise 2026 ✨
Last night we were lucky enough to experience the magic of Noche Blanca in beautiful Teguise – and what a truly unforgettable evening it was.
This incredible celebration has grown into one of Lanzarote's most anticipated events. Many people believe that everyone has to wear white, but the tradition actually comes from the "white night" itself – those wonderful midsummer evenings when the sky seems to stay light for so much longer.
Of course, many of us did wear white, and it added to the wonderful atmosphere as friends, families and visitors wandered through the historic streets, enjoying live music from the many stages, colourful street performances, local artisan stalls and the warm hospitality that makes Lanzarote so special.
One of the highlights of our evening was spending time at Bodega Santa Bárbara, where the atmosphere was simply electric. We enjoyed delicious local food, wonderful Lanzarote w**e and a fantastic Spanish band whose music had everyone singing, and dancing together.
These are the moments that remind us why we love this beautiful island so much. ❤️

☀️ Summer Solstice Sunrise in Lanzarote ☀️
This morning, on the longest day of the year, we took an early walk along the beach near the airport to watch the sun rise. There were a few clouds on the horizon, but as the sun gently climbed above them, its golden light danced across the sea and illuminated the beach. Moments like this remind us why we love this island so much – the tranquillity, the natural beauty, and the simple joy of welcoming a new day in such a special place. See the photos attached
