We are one hour from Alicante airport, located in a small community development with a double pool just across the street.

Our guests have said that the house is ‘fully equipped, well presented and a quiet retreat.’

Just warming up our living area with a little bit of Zara Home with some cushions and a lovely cosy woollen throw.

It’s hot, hot, 🥵 so how do we survive the heat ?

🥵 We ALWAYS stay out of the sun between the hours of 1pm and 5pm.
🥵We stay indoors with the aircon or fan on and generally have a siesta.
🥵 We drink lots of water.
🥵 It seems counterintuitive but we shut up the house, pulling curtains and blinds
to keep it as cool as possible.

We come out of hiding at about 5pm and usually have what the Spanish call ‘mirienda’, a light snack like coffee and biscuits 🍪

The pool by night after a very hot day. There’s no better place to be on a hot day and thankfully this pool is just 3 minutes walk from the house. We enjoy all the benefits of the pool without the expense and having been newly renovated last year, it’s a great asset right on our doorstep.

I’m not much of a sea swimmer so I prefer the pool.

But what is your preference, pool or beach ?
