As this is our winter Spanish home you will find it is designed for comfortable living. The ground floor has a large open plan kitchen/dining room, well equipped with everything you could need, large fridge/freezer, gas/electric cooker, reverse osmosis filtration drinking water and the usual gadgets. The dining area seats eight around the large table comfortably. Through double doors to the to the cosy sitting room we have TV English/Spanish, DVD player, radio/CD player and WiFi router. Easy wide marble stairs to first floor and two double bedrooms with comfortable beds and bunk room with large comfortable bunks. Stairs to second floor with double bedroom, second bathroom and well equipped summer kitchen, adjacent is the Dining Terrace with large table suitable for parties. From the terrace stairs lead to the Roof Terrace which is divided into two sections one of which is partially shaded there are lots of plants which are looked after by a local friend. The Area
Torrox is one of the famous White Villages of Andalucia with the Mediterranean to the south and the Sierra Tajeda mountains to the north. The beach at Torrox Costa is about 4km, five minutes by car or bus, the buses run regularly. Torrox has the best climate in Europe and there are many signs claiming this. The Pueblo consists of mainly narrow streets. The hub of the village is The Plaza with many bars and restaurants with good food at very reasonable prices. This is an unspoilt beautiful Spanish village with a busy centre and no tourist shops. the house is in a quiet street four minutes walk from The Plaza. Fifteen minutes drive away is the town of Nerja, a good sized town with beautiful beaches, many restaurants and shops and several large supermarkets. This town is well worth a visit. Nearby you have the Nerja Caves which are quite spectacular
The walking in this area is pretty much unbeatable, with walks for the serious hikers and also for those who want to enjoy the less strenuous ramble. If you feel up for it try the walk to Acebuchal, you won't regret it. There is an abundance of good riding in the area with stables offering rides for the novice through to the more experienced. You can have beach rides, trekking and even pony rides for children. If Cycling or Mountain Biking is your bag then this is definitely the place for you. Cycling up the steep roads into the mountains to Competa or Off road up the trails into the mountains. Bikes can be hired in Torrox Costa.
