This small traditional farmhouse has been recently refurbished and transformed into one of the island’s most authentic and exceptional properties, respecting the traditional Mallorquin style and using local materials and craftsmanship. Downstairs, in the main house an original farmhouse kitchen has been modernised with great care. There is a bread oven, fireplace, larger, large sitting room, firep
lace and dining room. The main house has two simple but luxurious double bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms, one of these is an en-suite. The annex has one double bedroom and adjoining bathroom. All our double beds can be separated, if required, to provide twin beds. This is a house designed for outside living, there are terraced areas, covered and uncovered; a large outdoor dining table for convivial gatherings of family and friends and through the pines, a path to a secluded pebble beach with tremendous views up and down the coast. And our spring-fed plunge pool, constantly refreshed by water from the mountains, is said by all who try it to possess a remarkable ability to revitalize body and soul. Es Racó is a place to truly relax. To breath in the moving silence of the wind on the sea, the rocks and the trees. If relaxing for you requires activity, there is sea-kayaking, swimming, bird-watching, hiking and rock-climbing. And of course we can arrange easy access to the other delights of Mallorca. Mobile phones and wifi can be accommodated, but only on specific networks. This is a place where people come to be out of touch with the outside world, and to rediscover their own creative rhythm. Little has changed since the days of the archduke on this part of the island, and we like to keep it that way. Well, almost. As there is still no electricity in the area we are completely self-sufficient with our own solar cells and back-up generator.
