Unique 18th century stone house sleeps 4, 3 floors, and a large terrace overlooking the Serra de Prades Mountains Cal Bomber 1779 is in the center of the village, 1 minute from the church of Vimbodí i Poblet. The village is located in the Conca de Barberà, 10 minutes from the Monastery of Poblet, a cultural and landscape masterpiece of the Catalan Cistercian route. In addition to enjoying the wines of Denominations of Origin in the area: D.O. Priorat and D.O. Tarragona.

The gastronomy in Conca de Barberà is focused on seasonality. Calçots before spring, sweet onions charbroiled on the flames of dry grapevines, snails, peaches in summer, almonds and fresh figs before autom, local walnuts, truffles and olives, dry or preserved, to enjoy through the year.

You have to come several times to try the farm-to-table countryside cooking of this county in Catalonia. Many "masies", farmhouses, are now exquisite restaurants.

However, you can also shop locally sourced and produce and meats and come back to Cal Bomber and cook in our fully equipped kitchen, or barbecue in the charcoal grill and dine outside on the patio under the stars.

The ground floor originally had the old kitchen. Now, we convert it into one of the two double bedrooms Cal Bomber has. You can see the old fireplace where they used to cook, and on it, there is a metal plate holder to keep Grandpa's soup warm.

Guests staying in the "kitchen" bedroom have their own bathroom by the main entrance.

Unfortunately, we can't use that fireplace anymore.

Cal Bomber is one of the oldest houses in Vimbodí and Poblet, built in 1779 by Barnat Nadal.

Despite being uninhabited since 1940, a firefighter from Barcelona, our father, fell in love with it in 1984 and restored it to its rustic appearance. Now that the whole town is known for its new reputation, the children of Cal Bomber want you to enjoy an unforgettable experience in the land of farmers and good wines.

📢 Vimbodí i Poblet acollirà la setena edició de la Fira de la Tòfona Negra!

📍 La fira tindrà lloc el cap de setmana del 20 i 21 de gener a la zona del recinte del pavelló poliesportiu. Hi haurà el mercat de la tòfona fresca i productes KM0, amb degustació de vins i tapes amb aquest producte, diferents showcookings de xefs amb Estrella Michelin, una jornada tècnica i el 7è Concurs de Gossos tofonaires 🐶!

La fira està organitzada per Tòfona de la Conca, l’Associació de Productors de Tòfona de Catalunya i l’Ajuntament de Vimbodí i Poblet.
