🌌❄️ When we ask our guests about their favourite experiences, two activities consistently rise to the top: our Arctic Night Safaris, both by snowshoes and electric snowmobiles.

When the city lights are far behind and the sky opens above the fells, many guests pause in silence and say they have never seen so many stars. In the North, the night sky is an experience of its own. Orion shines sharply above the horizon, Cassiopeia arches high overhead, and on clear nights the soft band of the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye – something that’s rarely seen in urban skies.
And if the sun has sent its greetings across space, you can see the Northern Lights above.
Statistically, we are now approaching one of the most favourable times of the year for aurora activity. Late winter, especially March and April around the spring equinox, is known to be particularly active within the auroral zone.
In Lapland, the Northern Lights can be observed on up to 200 nights a year, making this region one of the best places in the world to witness this natural phenomenon. While auroras can never be guaranteed, we can promise the stillness of the northern night, a sky filled with astonishing numbers of stars, and a moment that feels far removed from everyday life.

Ja syy tähän on tietysti selvä - kun kaupungin valot ovat kaukana ja taivas avautuu, moni vieras pysähtyy toteamaan hiljaa, ettei ole koskaan nähnyt näin paljon tähtiä. Pohjoisessa tähtitaivas onkin elämys itsessään: Orion loistaa kirkkaana, Kassiopeia kaartuu korkealla ja Linnunradan utuinen vyö piirtyy selkeästi esiin.
Ja sitten, jos aurinko on lähettänyt terveisensä, taivaalle syttyvät vielä revontulet.
Tilastollisesti lähestymme yhtä vuoden parhaista ajoista revontulien näkymiselle. Kevättalvi ja erityisesti maalis–huhtikuu, kevätpäiväntasauksen ympäristö, ovat tunnetusti aktiivista aikaa revontulivyöhykkeellä. Ja vaikka revontulia ei voi luvata, voimme luvata pohjoisen yön, tähtien määrän joka hämmästyttää, ja hetken, joka vie kauas arjesta.
