Mäkelä B&B A homy bed&breakfast on a really beautiful spot by the river Kemijoki in Finnish Lapland. We speak English, German, French and Finnish.

A cozy bed&breakfast on a small farm by one of the main roads in northern Finland. House stands on the banks of Kemijoki offering an amazing view over the longest river of Finland. There are cats on the farm, usually horses in the summer and we also breed reindeer that spend winters with us. A kitchen for cooking in the guest house and sauna is available on request. The national park of Pyhätuntur

i is 25 km, the closest grocery store 7 km and the airport 120 km away. In the summertime, you can enjoy the midnight sun and the extraordinary beauty of Lapland in a peaceful place, also a riverboat available for use.

🇫🇮Kemijokea pitkin on helppoa ja miellyttävää meloa. Meillä voi pysähtyä lepäämään, uimaan, saunomaan, syömään, grillaamaan ja rapsuttelemaan eläimiä. B&B palvelut heti joen rannasta! Löytyy meiltä kaksi kajakkiakin, jos mielesi tekee kokeilla melontaa. 🇬🇧 It is easy and pleasant to paddle along the Kemijoki River. We have places to rest, swim, sauna, eat, grill and pet the animals. B&B services right on the riverbank! We also have two kayaks if you feel like trying out paddling.

Mäkelän tilalla on monisatavuotista heinäniittyä. Keväisin kunnostamme lammasaidan ja päästämme lampaat hoitamaan niittyä. Laidunnus pitää maiseman avoimena ja ylläpitää perinnebiotooppia.

Mäkelä B&B is surrounded by meadow. Evrry spring we prepare the fence for sheep. Sheep are taking gentle care of traditional landscape.
