Science tells us that the Northern Lights appear when charged particles from the Sun meet gases in Earth’s atmosphere. 🔍

But in Lapland, we have always had another view. 👇

Old Finnish folklore tells a story of a fire fox running across the northern fells. As its tail sweeps across the snow, sparks fly into the sky and set the night alight.

Those sparks become ”revontulet”, the Northern Lights.💫

So when the sky above Kelo begins to glow, we cannot help but wonder if the fire fox is running across the fells again. 🤍
