AM I ALLOWED TO DOCKWALK IN ANTIBES?
Lately, several rumors have made their rounds in the yachting community about dockwalkers being stopped by undercover police, the Port Authority, Immigration and being arrested, deported etc. A reliable source chased down each of the rumors brought to attention and found not one of these were true.

The Port Authority of Antibes has requested to relay the message that they are happy with dockwalkers, and crew looking for work – just as long as they are legally present in the territory. While they may ask what you're doing, if you say “dockwalking”, it's accepted. To avoid any confusion, please make sure to dress as a yachty when you look for work in all of the ports of the region.

This message has been officially verified by Raphael Zeitoun, Commandant de Port, who also stresses that the Port Authority is keen to have a positive report with all yacht crew in Antibes.
