Happy New Year to all the wonderful people we hosted during 2025.

Here you can see the major project of this year - converting the old animal pens into a hot tub and cold plunge area. What would you like to see next, a sauna or a steam room?

It was a pleasure to welcome you, share a small part of your lives, and to learn about our guests from all over the world.

The gingko biloba is showing its stunning fall colours - imagine lying in the hot tub in 40C water while the cool autumnal breeze refreshes your face. This is the perfect time to book a weekend away - the sun is still shining but the mid-autumn coolness brings quiet solitude and a chance to 'cocoon' in the cost studio, while the hot tub adds a touch of luxury in the heart of nature. 💛🧡❤️🍁🍂🌄

Meet the newest member of the team: Kiwi! 🥝 A young rescue cat who has joined the family as Chief Mouser and Director of Snuggles. Once she has settled in she'll be responsible for patrolling the Clot d'en Guardia grounds and scaring off small furry squatters, as well as giving the cutest cuddles to the cat lovers among our guests! After a week of high temperatures, the weather broke this afternoon with a rainstorm that has cooled the air. The clouds made a pretty lavender sunset which brought out the purple of the acanthus. One of my favourite plants in the garden and frequented by the black iridescent carpenter bees who buzz noisily inside the flowers before emerging, in fuzzy yellow in pollen jackets. Later in the summer, the seed pods will crack and pop open in the heat of the sun, spreading seeds across the soil to make new acanthus for next year.

When guests become friends: Astrid from Toronto came for a .cc cycling holiday with her family in May and came back a few weeks later (after casually walking 250km of the Camino de Santiago!) to do a work exchange before heading to Iceland! We are honoured to have been a part of her European adventure and to have her gentle, fun-loving and enthusiastic presence. Not to mention our gratitude for her hard work making signs to guide guests up our track, refurbishing garden furniture and entertaining the kids!

Awe-inspiring December sunset tonight here at Mas Clot d'en Guardia, beautiful from so many angles. And a mild evening to sit and enjoy it too! 🌄🧡

We've made some changes to our cosy poolside apartment, adding an indoor dining area and a new sofa bed to give more space and a modern look. What do you think? When will you come and visit? Autumn is beautiful in the Vallespir!
