Fancy joining us for the 2026 Tour de France? We already have only 2 rooms left if you do. The 8th July sees the start at nearby Lannemezan - perfect for seeing the riders before the race. On the 9th the route passes through our town on the way to Aspin, Tourmalet and Gavarnie - several opportunities to see the climbers in their element. What’s more we don’t increase our prices, we just have a minimum stay request.

Pyrenees Magazine has just confirmed that Bagneres de Bigorre is THE place to stay in the French Pyrenees and we're THE place to stay in the town. This isn't a paid advertising piece - just a great article about riding in the area, Chez Octave, local cycling businesses and the best B&B around ☺️.

A view from my training ride. The title doesn’t really do it justice. Around 45km and 600m of climbing in the foothills, I never get tired of it. It’s simply gorgeous and full of memories of rides before, things seen and wonderful guests I’ve ridden the roads with ❤️.

When all the mountain col signs were recently replaced, we were very grateful to receive these as a gift from the region’s Director of Sports. I would say a fair few of us have seen these exact signs on the eastern approach of Aspin or Hourquette and been very happy to do so! They now have pride of place on the bike workshop wall, by the wash down area.

This weekend marked the unofficial start of the Pyrenean summer, with the procession to take the statue of Octave Lapiz from opposite our house to Col du Tourmalet. Our wonderful guests cycled and walked up there to supervise along with a few hundred others! A wonderful opening to a great season ahead.

Feeling in need of a break? Good news! Le Parisien newspaper has just issued its analysis of the best towns (pop 3000-50000) in France in which to recharge your batteries and Bagneres de Bigorre came second OUT OF 3000! It based its analysis on the town services, proximity to outstanding natural features, climate, security, tourist offerings and transport.

As if you need any more excuses to visit us!!

UK and Ireland guests😁 Thinking about travel arrangements to get to us? Well, as well as the usual Dublin and Stansted flights to our local airport, Lourdes, Ryanair have now added summer flights from Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol to Toulouse. We continue to offer our Toulouse pick up service if you don’t fancy the train or hiring a car. ☀️⛰️😁
