This beautiful wisteria-clad Cottage with Provencal blue shutters is a fully equipped self-catering gite based in the south of the Loire Valley not far from La Brenne national park and the beautiful town of Angles sur L'Anglin. It is in the ideal location for a relaxing getaway, a tour of the Loire's vineyards or as a base for getting some training miles in on your bike, running or swimming in the

nearby lakes and rivers. The Cottage is set on the edge of small forest area and farmland with stunning views, it's a haven for wildlife. The bright, sunny kitchen is perfect for a meal but on summer nights you'll be eating outside on the pergola terrace, surrounded by herbs and lavender. Kitchen and dining
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and cleaning. It includes a dish washer, washing machine, oven, microwave, toaster, fridge and a long pine table and chairs with patio doors which open onto a private outdoor seating area. Upon arrival you will have products (eg pasta, sauce, fruit, wine, bread, cheese, milk, eggs, coffee, tea etc.) Bedrooms
The (larger) double bedroom has roof timbers, exposed stone walls and marble-topped tables, perfect for a romantic retreat, the smaller twin room is ideal for youngsters, colourful and comfortable. Living room
Includes wood burner, sofa, tv (for videos & dvds), leather armchairs, indoor games, books and local information. Depending on the time of year, rental of the gite also comes with use of our 10m swimming pool, and table tennis table. If you want to bring your own bikes, we have a workshop area for storage or we can put you in touch with some local rentals. How to get to us
For those who wish to Ferry and drive from the UK it can take around:

3.5 - 4 hours from Caen
4 - 5 hours from Cherbourg
4 - 5 hours from Le Havre
6 - 7 hrs from Calais

For those preferring Fly-Drive we are under an hour from Poitiers, 2 hours from Limoges and 3 hours from Nantes. Chatellerault is our nearest mainline train station at 25 minutes away.
