Antonella Ferrari .ferrari is an Argentine writer and actress living between Buenos Aires and New York. She is currently completing her first novel, an ironic and intimate exploration of growing up in Argentina during the 2000s .

Learn about her residency project in her own words below…

“My intention during this residency is to immerse myself in the final stage of my novel Ana while working in a different environment. Living in New York can be exciting but also overwhelming, and I hope this time away will allow me to approach the project with greater focus and clarity, and to deepen my understanding of the story.”

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open Studio yesterday evening! ✨

It was a wonderful shared moment between friends, our local community, and our artists in residence, who generously shared their works in progress and gave us a glimpse into their residency experience.

Clémence Trossevin (FR) Painter & Illustrator. Originally from the Cévennes region, Clémence Trossevin now lives in Paris. After studying archaeology and art history at the École du Louvre, she devoted herself to illustration. Through her gouache paintings, she explores memory, what remains and what slowly disappears. She seeks to depict her surroundings and bring attention to those familiar places we often pass by too quickly, trusting in their permanence.

Learn about her residency project in her own words below…

“For several months now, the figure of the ruin has played a significant role in my creative process. I consider it in its broadest sense, as a call to the past, a form of memory that can take the form of an old building or a Citroën 2CV gradually being reclaimed by weeds over the years. A residency at the Manoir de la Moissie would allow me to take advantage of an exceptional setting, both in terms of its natural beauty and its historical significance, to continue my research on this subject. I am also very eager to engage with the guest artists, the hosts, and the local residents”

This month we are thrilled to welcome our first Argentine artist, Emilia Naistat ❤️🇦🇷

Emilia Naistat (Buenos Aires, 1997) holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts with a specialization in Sculpture from the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (Argentina). Her recent solo gallery show Vamos, en el fin. Beso was presented at Galería Vía Monte and curated by Belén Coluccio. During 2025, her work was selected and awarded a scholarship to participate in the Artists Programme in Theatre, Dance and Performance at Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina). Naistat’s work has been shown in several group exhibitions and she has participated in multiple art residencies in Argentina and France.

Learn about her residency project in her own words below…

“My most recent work has been guided by a research called Paisajes para el color [Landscapes for Colour], characterised by the construction of space through a sustained engagement with painting, exploring colour, generating depth with tonal degradation and variation between scales. Increasingly, it expands into installation and research connecting painting with practices exploring space and time, such as the performing arts.

During my residency, my intention is to deepen this research while stimulating experimentation. I think of my residency at La Moissie as a rhizomatic experience, articulated in collaboration with colleagues, where my painting production will be influenced by the context and inspired by the surrounding ecosystem. “

A May garden party 🌿

A big part of the residency happens around the table: laughter shared between new friends, conversations that continue long after the meal, ideas exchanged between disciplines, and the simple pleasure of slowing down together.

Last week, our residents gathered in the garden for a seasonal meal prepared by our friend and chef Thomas Camu using locally sourced ingredients.

Not many photos of the evening itself. We were too busy eating, talking, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company. 🥰

Johanna Palmieri .palmieri (b. 1991) is a painter whose work explores the fusion of figures and abstraction, drawing inspiration from the beauty and contradictions of life. Investigating memory, nostalgia, and the interplay between abstraction and reality, she at times incorporates collage to layer material and meaning. Through evocative compositions, themes of uncertainty, aspiration, and the passage of time emerge, inviting viewers into moments of reflection on the subtle experiences that shape our lives.

Learn about her residency project below…

“During my residency at La Moissie, I’ll be using the time to refine and finalize works for an upcoming solo show. I’m also looking forward to letting the peaceful surroundings do their thing — quieting my mind enough to follow new and unexpected ideas that I wouldn’t normally pursue. It’s a chance to work with both purpose and openness, and I’m excited to see where that balance takes me.”

From the Fongauffier bridge in Sagelat, we take the fishermen’s path that runs alongside the Nauze. One of our most magical spring walks 🌿
