Gite: A renovated 18th century 2-bedroomed cottage in Charente. Rural location for quiet relaxation, country walks and bird-lovers.

Hazelnut cottage is a gite in rural SW France, in the Charente region. in fact, is only a 15-minute walk to the river. If you like a country location for your holiday, this gite offers you a quiet place to sit and watch the birds and the red squirrels. Weekly price is £400 except July and August, when it is £450. Monthly price £700 except July and August, when it is £1600. We provide sheets and to

wels, there is a wide range of cooking and eating utensils. In the hot weeks, we can put up our 12' plunge pool. It is 1 metre deep, so great for a cooling dip. There is a barbeque and ouside tables. There is only one gite, and the main house, so you will have the gardens pretty much to yourself. We live just next door, but won't encroach, so please ask us to join you if you would like our company. Benest is 15 minutes walk away with Post Office, Boulangerie for fresh bread,bar/cafe and XIIc church.

Bordeaux is a 2-3 hour train journey away taking the train to Angouleme (35 minutes) and then on to the fast TGV train (another 35 minutes).
