Le Vieux Presbytère

After more than 9 years of being so fortune to own the beautiful presbytère we decided to close that chapter in our lives and hand the grand key over to the new custodians.

We have so many wonderful memories of such happy times we have shared with family and friends in our beautiful home and also the fantastic guests who stayed in the summer months.

We are so grateful to our amazing team who looked after our guests and home in our absence and it is thanks to them we consistently received 5* outstanding reviews and wonderful feedback.

Although sad to close that magnificent front door for the last time our love affair with France has not ended.

We searched long and hard to find another property to make our second home and finally we found « Maison Lavaille »

Nestled amongst the trees on the edge of the Luberon, Maison Lavaille is a short stroll from Venasque one of Les Plus Beau Villages of France. With magnificent views of Mount Ventou it is an area of outstanding beauty and close to the many delightful villages of the Luberon and Vaucluse.

Its peaceful setting and breathtaking views drew us to it and we are so excited to share it with others, as we did with Le Vieux Presbytère.

We shall be offering our new home for rental during July and August and will appear on VRBO and Airbandb but would be happy to take private reservations as we have previously.

To all those who have followed our journey I hope you will continue to do so and see where the next chapter takes us.

I shall be changing the name of this page soon to La Maison Lavaille

Had fun choosing plants at the busy local market, now to plant up the pots. The Presbytère garden will soon be filled with colour ready to welcome our summer guests

Happy Easter everyone !
Spent a lovely day enjoying brunch at our favourite restaurant Le Temps de Pose in Cotignac soaking up the warm sunshine in the village square.
Onward then to the Gorge du Verdon and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie. Exploring the beautiful village nestled in the terraced hills its narrow lanes holding a wealth of local produce and pottery. Stopping for a glass of wine while admiring the golden star which is suspended high above the village.

Since becoming Grandparents last December, this year has been an exciting one for Lester and I.

We have spent as much time as possible with Arthur whether in France or the UK. He enjoyed splashing in the pool at Le Vieux Presbytère and loved his first taste of a French baguette!!

We had some lovely guests who stayed in our French home this summer and we received some wonderful 5* reviews. We rely so much on our dedicated team in Camps to ensure everyone who stays has the best time possible.


Finally, Lester and I would like to wish all our previous guests a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and would hope to see you again in 2025.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening at Domaine de CALA, sadly the last before we head back to England next week. A fabulous terrace to sit and enjoy a glass of Rose or a cocktail looking out over the vineyard. There is a relaxed and friendly vibe and the music is great. There is always a food truck with various themes and good quality produce. We hope that our summer guests will pop in and enjoy Cala as much as we do. Looking forward to visiting again in September

Visited the local plant market in Forcalquieret and filled the car with a variety of flowers grown by local producers. We hope to make the garden burst with colour for our summer guests.
