🌒✨ A VERY SPECIAL EVENING AT LARROQUE HAUTE GÎTES ✨🌒

What an incredible sight from here in the Lot tonight! 🇫🇷

We were lucky enough to watch the 12 August 2026 solar eclipse from Larroque Haute, with the Moon gradually sweeping across the Sun as it dropped towards the horizon. ☀️🌙

At its peak, almost all of the Sun was obscured here in our corner of Southwest France, creating the most beautiful golden crescent — and an evening we certainly won't forget.

One of those magical moments that reminds us just how special it is to have so much open countryside and sky around us. ❤️

And yes… these were taken on a phone! 📱😍
