Tucked away in the Lot valley, Puy l’Évêque is everything we love about medieval France: crooked stone lanes, river views, and a slow pace that begs you to stay.
It’s our closest village for fresh bread, a few charming boutiques, our favourite restaurant Les Dodus (never disappoints), and the wonderfully authentic Virebent porcelain workshop – part museum, part treasure trove. Even a supermarket for the practical bits.
Perfectly imperfect, quietly beautiful.
