ation, within a short stroll of all of its amenities.... bar, restaurant, butchers, grocery store, etc... and of course its local wine producers who invite you to visit their ‘caves’ for wine-tasting! Just an hour inland from the Mediterranean beaches, in the heart of Cathar country, Caudies is surrounded by the mountain forests of the Pyrenean foothills, it is the perfect base from where to enjoy the beauty and activities that the region has to offer...cycling, kayaking, rafting, climbing, horse riding, wild swimming, gorges, Cathar castles, etc......and with miles of trails direct from the doorstep the location couldn't be better for walking & mountain biking.... even the ski slopes are only just over an hour away.

'Appartements du Vin' are a great choice for travellers looking for a comfortable base where they can relax after active days of outdoor activities and exploring the region. There is a double sofabed in the lounge area, plus flat-screen TV, DVD player, bluetooth sound system and WIFI...which is free...and fast!. The use of a car is recommended and there is plenty of free parking in the village. It is possible to get around by public transport, but it is limited...There is a €1 bus network in the region and the 'Train Rouge' travels up and down the valley in the summer season. Please note that both apartments are on the first floor, accessible by stairs only. We respect our guests privacy and their safety during the current Covid crisis, thus we offer a speedy, hassle free self-check-in with onsite key safe for key collection. However, we are not far away should any problems arise.

🚫 FERMETURE DES SENTIERS DE RANDONNÉE & VTT – AUDE 🚫
🔥Suite aux récents incendies, le Préfet de l’Aude a pris un arrêté préfectoral interdisant l’accès à tous les espaces forestiers, c'est-à-dire les sentiers de randonnée 🥾 et VTT 🚵‍♀️du département qu'ils se trouvent en forêt haute 🌲🌳ou basse 🌾(garrigue, etc.).

Art & Vin… tout simplement parfait 🍷🎨

La Batteuse vous propose son premier atelier ! En collaboration avec Montserrat Castaing nous mettons en place 2 après-midi "art and wine" où l'artiste vous invite à découvrir la technique picturale de Van Gogh en parallèle à une dégustation des vins du Domaine Grain d'orient.
1ère date le 07 juin...second atelier le 21 juin autour de Picasso.
Avis aux peintres en herbe...ou plus expérimentés 😉
