The Macasssr suite overlooks our beautiful courtyard garden to the east and the town square of Corbie to the west. Located on the top floor of our medieval wing of LeMacassar, here is where old-world style meets Art Deco elegance.
The Moorish doors feature carved wood, patinated brass panels, and warm, dramatic shadows. I’ve created a space that feels less like a room and more like a story. It’s all about the layers, the textures, and the mystery within the walls of our historic home.

Thank you to Jon and Alison Haslock for stopping by today and gifting me this pair of antique lawn bowls, likely crafted from dense lignum vitae wood featuring decorative engraved brass center inserts. They used to belong to Jon’s father, who bought them second hand.  They are easily 100 years old if not older and look absolutely beautiful in our Macassar suite.
Jon and Alison are local  battlefield tour guides originally from the UK. Jon is also a wonderful artist.
