Hello darlings! Well it appears that spring is upon us. We were sunbathing in the garden this afternoon and little flowers are popping up all over the place. The chickens are having a blast as well, running in the sunlight. We hope to see you all this summer ❤️

It truly is the end of our summer season. We waived goodbye to our last 4 guests yesterday. We have been so lucky with such fun and fabulous people coming to stay this summer. Thank you all. It was really a pleasure. We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!! Hope to see you all next year. We are now looking forward to lovely guests in the fall and winter. xx

Welcome to our Petit Chateau, the oasis in the heart of Coulonges sur l'Autize. The house has lovely high ceilings and large sunlit rooms. This is a family house for fun and relaxation. The 5 acres of walled grounds provide total privacy and have a 14 x 7 m swimming pool, BBQ area that seats 14, kids' play area with swingset , slide, trampoline, ping pong, football and basketball. Come, enjoy and unwind.

About Us We are a family of 3 who love to entertain! We love living in the countryside, being outside , eating drinking and playing games of all descriptions. Our new goal this year is to introduce chickens to our grounds , to grow as many fresh vegetables as we can and to improve our french. Come and join us! We look forward to seeing you soon.

The Richelieu Room is 28 square metres and has a magnificent 4 poster king size carved wood bed, lush thick curtains and antique furniture. The Versailles Bedroom is soft and dream with a sweet little fire place, whimsical crystal chandelier and a bathroom with a bathtub. The Fontainebleau Bedroom measures 25 square metres and is the quietest room in the house with its own fireplace, king size bed, lovely crystal chandelier and lush heavy curtains. Our Prices Are Inclusive Of Breakfast. Lunch and Dinner are available by request in a set menu. It is also possible to rent out the top two floors of the house for private use on a self catering basis. This then includes a 4th bedroom, the Royal Suite.

The Royal Suite has a Superking bed, dramatic but elegant chandelier, views over to the swimming pool and birdsong in the morning. It’s a lovely space to wake up in. The bathroom and dressing room have ample space for all your needs. The three rooms measure about 50 sq m. The suite is only available when the top two floors are being rented out in their entirety.

Guest access The top two floors of the house are open. You are able to roam around in the living room, dining room, playroom, drawing room and office. The pool and grounds are there for your enjoyment. The pool is fully secured with gating and impenetrable hedges for your security. The kitchens we manage but you are welcome in them to sit and chat. There is a guest fridge for your convenience. In the listing it says no pets allowed, however this can be negotiated via direct contact with myself prior to booking.

Neighborhood overview Coulonges sur l'Autize has a lovely market every Tuesday that sells everything from fruit and veg to clothing. We have a Super U within 1 mile and the village is a 2 minute walk from the front door to the centre. It has everything. Boulangerie, florist, hair dresser, a couple of little bars, banks and cash points, real estate agents and tobacconists.

Nearby Attractions Yoga, Horse riding, Fishing, Hiking and Canoeing are all within 20 minutes as are the Marais Poitevin, Niort and Fontenay Le Comte. The Atlantic beaches, La Rochelle, Poitiers, and The Puy Du Fou are all within an hour’s drive. This is a great area for bird watchers, hikers, biking enthousiasts , astronomers and those who just want to relax.
