Tonight's dinner guests were a delightful family from Memphis./ Have as yet resisted asking about Mr Presley but they are here for four nights so I guess it's just a matter of time! On the menu this evening was an Italianish salad with mozz, toms, asparagus, avocado, parma ham etc then pork filet on a bed of garlic, onion and rosemary puree, local veg, the omnipresent cheeseboard then Eton Mess with local strawberries and cream straight from the farm.Feet up and a large glass or two of red for me now.

Lovely guests in at the moment, Millie and Vladi, originally from the Ukraine but living in Jerusalem. Seemed to enjoy this evenings dinner of Piedmont Roasted Peppers with Parma Ham, Chicken with Sherry Vinegar and Tarragon Sauce, Cheese then Carpaccio of minted pinapple with home-made lime sorbet and a chilli and ginger syrup. Finished off with copious amounts of Calvados in the garden!!
