You might not recognise La Prairie Étoilée at the moment! 🍂

The glamping season is over, but one of the tents is still up and has become a cosy pop-up restaurant, complete with a log burner and faux furs.

The dining barn now has a bar and more tables, and the big table familiar to our table d’hôtes guests has temporarily moved into the new “dining shack” — a rustic, quirky space for gathering friends around good food.

It’s all part of Octobrefeast, our autumn celebration of food through Les Tables de La Prairie Étoilée. We’ve been serving leisurely brunches and favourite pub dishes, with diners settling into our cosy spaces — or enjoying the autumn sunshine outside.

It’s also giving us plenty of food for thought! Over the winter, we’ll be exploring how to bring more dining options to your glamping stays next season. Food has always been a big part of life here, and we’d love to give you even more reasons to settle in and stay a little longer.

And that’s a wrap on another season at La Prairie Étoilée. 🤩

Thank you to everyone who stayed with us this year, and to everyone who liked, shared or commented on a post. Every bit of support means a great deal to a small business like ours.

It’s been a hot summer, but there’s been plenty of time spent in the shade and in the pool! More than anything, this has been the year of the longer stay and the effortless stay. Guests have settled in, taken their time and made the most of our breakfast and picnic hampers and evenings in the dining barn. It’s been lovely to see people arrive, let us take care of the food and slow down straight away.

Thank you for sharing your holidays with us. We’ve loved seeing you take time out to read, eat well, look up at the stars and do nothing much at all. Because you can.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming you next year. The 2027 calendar is open! ✨🥂☀️

We’ve popped over to the UK for a couple of days to visit The Glamping Show —having a look at what’s new, catching up with suppliers and gathering ideas as we start planning for 2027.

It’s always good to step away from the day-to-day running of La Prairie Étoilée and spend a little time thinking about what comes next. We’re heading home with plenty of ideas, a few new contacts and lots to chat through on the journey back to France…
