The Portes du Soleil has 600km of runs, linking 12 resorts across France and Switzerland, with more than 300 pistes and 200 lifts to explore ❄️

That means days of skiing without running out of new terrain to discover - from wide open cruising runs to challenging descents, with an entire mountain range waiting to be explored!

❄️Some exciting early-season news from Morzine…

For the 2026/27 season, Super Morzine and Avoriaz are scheduled to open on the same day - Friday 11 December 2026🎿

That means early-season guests staying in Morzine can access the higher-altitude skiing of Avoriaz via Super Morzine or Prodains from the very start of the season!

Then from 19 December, the Pleney, Nyon and Chamossière sectors are scheduled to open too.

One of the things we love about Morzine - you've got the village, Avoriaz and the wider Portes du Soleil all within reach 🏔️🇫🇷🇨🇭

We’re already getting the chalet ready for winter. Who’s tempted by an early-season trip?

A great cycling holiday is about more than the riding...

One of our favourite spots in Morzine ☕️

If you’re staying with us during the interseason, there’s one place we’ll always recommend - Solide.

Antony and the team are always so welcoming, it’s become a bit of a local favourite for us!

A perfect spot for a slow coffee, breakfast or lunch while exploring Morzine. The coffee is excellent, the food is just as good, and then there’s Naia - Antony’s gorgeous dog who is usually on hand to make your visit even better🐶

Last week, we sadly said goodbye to Brenin, a very special member of the Marialys team 🖤

Our glorious Great Dane was so much more than our dog. He was a huge part of our lives, our chalet and our journey here in Morzine - and anyone who stayed with us will probably remember him too.

He loved people. He wanted to be friends with everyone and was convinced that every arrival at Chalet Marialys was an opportunity to make a new best friend.

Over the years, he became a familiar face - and a much loved one. In fact, some of our guests were probably more excited to see Brenin than they were to see us!

These pictures capture him perfectly and feel very fitting for a dog who was entirely himself.

Saying goodbye was an awful decision, but the best one for him. We’ll miss his enormous presence, his character and that unmistakable Brenin welcome more than we can say 🐾
