Many of you are super organised and already booked, thank you! 🤍
But it does mean we have a few random August nights at Glatigny Farmhouse that I’d hate to see go to waste.

We don’t usually do 1 night stays, but for August only we’re offering a special rate of €175 for these dates:

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ What a great end to the year receiving these words from our lovely guests that stayed at Christmas.
Knowing that our guests feel the charm of Glatigny Farmhouse, sleep well on comfy mattresses, enjoy little discoveries around the house, and feel cared for as hosts is exactly why we do what we do.

⭐️ So we happened to have a Michelin star chef in our kitchen today!! 🤩321 ACTION… 🎬We were so happy to have chef Mallory Gabsi in our kitchen!! He was here to film a project working with French Supermarket to meet the local farmers growing the produce for his incredible dishes, as Normandie produces many organic vegetables. 🥕 🌽 🍠🧅🥦
Very cool to see behind the scenes and how talented film crew are creating this piece.
Now we must go to Paris to his restaurant !.⭐️

🔥 Our feelings towards the stones this house is made of definitely fluctuates between loving the history and character they bring, to never ever wanting to ever see them again after repointing every single one of them!
But fortunately we are back loving them and so so pleased we did not just cover them up with plaster board in the renovation which was very tempting to do at times..and we remind ourselves of this as we are starting to smash off the plaster board on her sister house next door!

🔑 We have some exciting news to share - as of a couple of weeks ago, Glatigny farmhouse has a sibling! We acquired the house next to it.🤩
Whilst it is some way off being up to the high standard we want to offer to our guests (it will need full gutting, retrofit of foundations, insulation, internal restoration and a whole new roof for the lovely old Norman barn, just to name a few things), it does have a rustic charm about it even now.😊
This lovely property is the same age as Glatigny Farmhouse (around 500 years old) and was originally an agricultural building (likely for animals, with a hayloft), but was transformed in to a home some time ago.
It’s changed a bit over the last few hundred years, but is now a 3 bed, 2 bathroom stone house, with a large garden. 1 bedroom and bathroom is 1 the ground floor.

We and are planning a full programme of renovations to balance highlighting its original character whilst injecting a good dose of modern style and comfort, and can’t wait to get cracking! 💪🏽

That said, the property is habitable, with lots of Norman charm, albeit pretty basic. Should you be interested in a stay before we have completed our renovations, please do reach out and we can give you more information.
PS We’re particularly interested in any tradespeople that may be interested in staying (in Glatigny Farmhouse) and helping us do some of the work. 😉

🥰Our last guests of the year are all settled in, so it’s time to say a massive thank you to all our lovely guests this year. We have had guests from all over the globe, Switzerland, Germany, UK, Netherlands, China, Australia, US and of course France and it brings us such joy to share our home with you in this beautiful corner of France, and know we play a small part in you making happy memories here too.🥰
We can’t wait to welcome returning guests back and welcome new ones in 2025, but until then bon courage and bisous from us, Francesca & Sam Xx
