We had a lovely day outing today ( at the drunken mules at Guidel 20 minutes from site ) with a lovely beach, we went for a walk on the fine white sands, so lucky it’s on our doorstep. And river scoff + river Elle so much to see and do not forgetting Les Roches Du Diable in Guilligomarc’h , but it was lovely to come back to our campsite in Guilligomarc’h in the rural forest to hear the owl and bats at night, and birds of prey in the day dragonflies and butterflies, it’s like we have the best of both I feel so lucky

Medium-sized owl with deep black eyes; strictly nocturnal and infrequently seen. Brown to gray overall with a big rounded head. Favors woodland, forest, parkland, urban areas and churchyards with large trees; tends to roost well hidden in foliage during the day, when may be detected by tracking down the excited sounds of small birds mobbing the owl. Comes out at night to hunt in clearings and more open areas. Most often detected by its quavering hoots and "kee-wik!" shrieks, given at night.

These spiders may bite if disturbed or harassed, but the venom is harmless to non-allergic humans, roughly equivalent to a bumblebee sting in intensity lovely looking spider

We have a lovely couple in a motohome with two dogs who have driven up from Spain to avoid the heat wave and the heat has followed them to Brittany they are staying longer because they love the shade underneath the trees for them and their dogs

Hope everyone is keeping safe in this beautiful hot weather it’s about to get a lot hotter mid 30s make sure animals including your cats and dogs keep cool in the shade with plenty of cold water available we have had a increase in booking due to our shaded pitches in the wood https://bois-des-ecureuils.fr.

Amazing to hear a couple of tawny owl sounds on our campsite last night no photos because it was so dark

Upto now we have had 35 recording within a couple of days
A great spotted woodpecker,,,European green woodpecker,, goldcrest ,,,European goldfinch and butterflies that like to land on my fingers
