The gite has a separate entrance from the campsite. Peaceful and relaxing location in a hamlet Our new campsite is now open - We are open all year. Camping La Foret de Tesse is a small campsite situated on the edge of a peaceful hamlet called Grosbout in the Nouvelle Aquitaine (was Poitou Charente) region in the South West of France. Due to its micro climate the area enjoys lots of sunshine and wa
rmth; it is in fact the second sunniest area of France after the South of France. In this area there are no crowds of tourists however, here you can really experience the tranquility of French rural living. The campsite is on approximately 2 acre level green field adjoining our property. The unmarked pitches are very spacious; there is plenty of room to enjoy. There are shady areas if you would like shelter from the sun. All pitches have water, electricity (10 Amp), most have pick-nick tables. There is one fully serviced hard standing pitch, a motorhome service point and a chemical toilet disposal point. Our modern disability friendly shower and toilet facilities are located in a beautiful old stone barn. There is one toilet/shower cubicle, one separate toilet cubicle and one disabled toilet/shower cubicle with baby changing facility

Our area is dotted with picturesque stone villages, woodlands, sunflower fields and the occasional chateau. You can walk, jog or cycle safely along the quiet roads and lanes. There are easy routes and more challenging routes whatever is your preference. Although we are in a rural location, we are only 10 minutes drive away from supermarkets, bars, restaurants, Boulanger, French markets and other amenities. There is easy access to the main route to the South of France, Spain and Portugal. The N10 non-toll motorway is 10 minutes drive, the A10 motorway is 30 minutes drive away. Dogs are welcome. We are a couple who enjoy camping. We created this campsite using our experience we have gained travelling around in our motorhome.
