Just over an hour's drive from Le Preverger, the village of Rians celebrates Fête de la Courge tomorrow, which is a classic Autumn festival in France celebrating all things pumpkin! There will be games for children, circus acts, street parades, contests and, of course, lots of pumpkin and squash based recipes to try, as well as traditional Provencal cuisine.

Every year in June, the village of Mougins organises an international festival entirely dedicated to gastronomy, Les Etoiles. For three days, the streets and squares of the old village welcome a hundred or so French and foreign chefs who come to share their skills and passion with the public.

There are many activities to enjoy including cooking demonstrations, cooking lessons, competitions, culinary workshops, concerts, signings and meet-and-greet sessions. Refreshment stands and food trucks await the visitors every day from 10 am to midnight. With over 1000 cooking lessons over 3 days, there's something for everyone!

One of our guests' favourite places to visit during their stay at Le Preverger, is Le Cellier. Le Cellier is a cosy little wine shop in the centre of La Garde-Freinet, just a 10 minute drive. This wine shop hosts tastings with local cheeses, bread, olives, pâté and (of course) incredible Provençal wines to try and buy!
